A striking feature all cultures appear to embrace is some concept of fairness. Of course, the exact definition varies widely.
Because equality of power and responsibility cannot be equal between parents and young children, neither can equality of choice. Since it is much easier to disrupt than to create, many people learn to substitute for “fairness” an undermining of outcome and reward.
Like all “strategies”, sabotage is ultimately self-defeating – and it is frequently other-punishing as well.
This one-day course will allow us to recognize sabotage in its earliest stage – regardless of who is initiating it – and to develop new behaviors to redirect that energy into more positive and productive patterns.
